The Wendy Gannon Presidentís Fund

The objectives of the Friends of Brading Roman Villa are to educate the public and to increase public awareness of the Villa site. Wendy Gannon, past President of the Friends, who sadly died in March 2017, was a major contributor to the life of Brading Roman Villa. She received a B.E.M for her work in fulfilling the charityís aims and objectives.

In commemoration of Wendy, and to continue the work she started, the Board of Trustees has set up an education fund. The purpose of the fund is to offer educational grants, up to £200, to students resident on the Isle of Wight, who are undertaking higher education in History, Archaeology, or related subjects at sixth form, college, or university level. A Grants Committee (GC) has been set up to oversee the distribution of the Wendy Gannon President's fund, to vet applications, and to make recommendations to the Board regarding the awarding of grants to students, and the amounts involved.

If you would like to make a donation to the Wendy Gannon Presidents fund, please address your donations to 'The Treasurer, Friends of Brading Roman Villa, Morton Old Road, Brading, PO36 0PH'.
